Styler blames Geldof for sex rumour

Trudie Styler has revealed she blames Bob Geldof for rumours she and husband Sting enjoy hours of tantric sex.

The 57-year-old has been with 60-year-old Sting for almost 30 years, and neither have ever denied stories that they use yoga to extend their pleasure in the bedroom.

But Trudie told The Daily Telegraph: "Do you know who I blame for that? Bob Geldof.

"Him and Sting had gone to do an interview with a rock journalist, and the interview turned into a drinking session. At one point, the journalist asked how long they could go for, and Geldof said that he was a three-minute man, but, as Sting did yoga, he could probably go for hours.

"And Sting said, 'Well, haven't you heard of tantric sex?'."

The actress and producer added: "Sting said that 21 years ago. He has just turned 60, and I imagine it will carry on going until he drops."

But Trudie admitted she was getting tired of being asked about the story.

She said: "I tend to think, 'Oh, that old thing.' The first I knew of it was when I read it. He had forgotten he had said it because he was completely rat-a**ed.

"At the time I thought it was very amusing but then it sort of became a cause celebre. The tantric hours got extended and, suddenly, I was doing it all day long. Well, if only!"
