Review of The Bees 'Wash In The Rain' single
Single release date: 19th April 2004
Although their Mercury Music Prize nominated album was one of 2002's hidden gems, The Bees have remained a band with a largely cult status.
This latest single 'Wash In The Rain' is set to smash that sky-high though, as 'Wash In The Rain' is a deliciously bouncy pop track with a hint of the shouty blues (think the Animals, bred with the Coral and crossed with the Hollies).
Colliding harmonies countpoint the boigny rising verse beautifully; this is a great song and one for a long pre-summer beach drive.
In short, it's great.
