Whoever it was that had the idea to draft in the honey vocals of Gemma Hayes to help out on Magnet's magnificent cover of Bob Dylan's 'Lay Lady Lay' is a genius.
It's always hard for band's to do justice to Dylan's legendary songs but Magnet have managed it - due, in no small part, to Hayes' contribution. Sublime, sensual and sumptuous Magnet's latest single is the sort of brilliance that will garner critical and commercial success with ease. Taken from the album 'On Your Side'.
