Review of The Charlatans' 'Up At The Lake' single
Single release date: 10th May 2004
The last survivors of Baggy return with the first single from their new album, both entitled 'Up At The Lake'.
Tim Burgess and the boys have taken another stylistic leap shifting away from the funky party that was 'Wonderland' to create a modern take on their earlier 'shuffly' sound.
However, where once they were prone to a fey weakness, 'Up At The Lake' sees the indie fighters come out all guns blazing with a pumped up anthem for 2004.
The biggest and best indie band in Britain. No question.
