Melanie C - Here It Comes Again
With the Spice Girls reunion rumour mill starting to build up momentum, Melanie C returns from musical wilderness with the brilliant first single from her forthcoming, long-awaited new album.
Retaining the rock tinted pop vibe of her previous solo offerings, 'Here It Comes Again' is a catchy, uplifting first single that, on the evidence of this anyway, promises very good things for that forthcoming album. Both formats include bonus tracks with the DVD CD adding exclusive video footage.

Dannii Minogue - I Begin To Wonder
Hot on the heels of her Top 10 hit 'Put the Needle On it', Dannii returns with another slice of
very catchy electro-dance-pop.
Having always been that little bit more savvy with producers than her sister, Dannii is proving that she can hold her own musically in the Minogue family.
An especially incessant beat that makes you want to get off your tired feet is accompanied by Dannii's hauntingly sweet electronic vocals.

Beth Gibbons & Rustin Man - Tom The Model
Lifted from a long-player that Mojo magazine boldly described as 'among the best albums ever made', Beth Gibbons (ex-Portishead) and Rustin Man (aka Paul Webb from Talk Talk) finally get around to releasing a single for those that haven't already sampled its delights.
Sounding, thanks mainly to Gibbons' distinctive voice, not too far removed from that Portishead sound, 'Tom The Model' is a simple, haunting and deeply melodic song that sounds as good as you'd expect it to -especially when you consider the two artists involved! Both formats also add bonus tracks.

The Mock Turtles - Can You Dig It (Vodafone Ad Music)
An early nineties 'baggy' anthem, The Mock Turtles' indie-rock classic 'Can You Dig It?' looks all set to be thrust back onto the UK's musical radar thanks to its appearance in the latest Vodafone TV adverts.
One of those immediately recognisable singles, it's also one of the few from that period that still seems to sound as good as it ever did.
And with Fatboy Slim along for the ride to add his own inimitable sound to proceedings, it looks like The Mock Turtles could follow previous Vodafone sound-trackers the Dandy Warhols into the UK's chart.

Darius - Incredible
With Hear'say disappearing into pop obscurity and the likes of Liberty X and Mr Darius Danesh getting stronger with each release, it would seem that the judges of reality music shows don't entirely have their fingers on the pulse of the musical nation.
So it's especially fitting that Darius should return with one of his finest singles to date. Written by Darius himself and produced by LA based production trio The Matrix (Avril Lavigne), 'Incredible' is another irresistibly catchy slab ofrock-speckled pop from a man that seems to be getting better and more assured as time goes by.
Both formats also include exclusive bonus tracks/mixes with CD one adding the video and CD two a free poster booklet.

The Coral - Don't Think You're The First
After a whirlwind year in 2002, Liverpool's The Coral return to the eye of the storm this week with the first single from their forthcoming album, due for release later this year.
Another immediately recognisable slab of catchy Coral pop, 'Don't Think You're The First' should easily cement this excellent band's reputation as one of the finest to emerge from the UK over the last year or so.
Whilst as a little extra treat, each format also comes with added bonus tracks.

Eminem - Sing For The Moment (cover pictured above...)
Simply unstoppable at the moment; Eminem returns from hitting the UK's top spot with 8 Mile's 'Lose Yourself' with one of the highlights from his latest solo album, 'The Eminem Show'.
Very effectively sampling Aerosmith's rock classic 'Dream On' around the chorus, 'Sing For The Moment', as with its predecessor, is another inspiring hip-hop anthem from a superstar rapper that can't put a foot wrong at the moment.
Whist as a bonus, both formats come with an instrumental version alongside bonus cut 'Rabbit Run' with the CD adding the video.

Nelly: Justin Timberlake - Work It:
Having supplied a guest rap on N*Sync's 'Girlfriend', Justin Timberlake (in solo guise) returns the favour and does a vocal turn on Nelly's latest, 'Work It'.
Another catchy slice of pop-tinted hip-hop (delivered, as ever, in Nelly's own inimitable style), this is a cracking single that manages to bring the best out of both vocalists.
Whilst the bonus track, 'Put Your Hands Up', is an extra special bonus treat and album track 'Air Force Ones' comes in both its album and video versions.

Ruby Amanfu - Sugah
Already described by Blues & Soul magazine as 'a breath of fresh air blowing through black music', 22-year-old singer-songwriter Ruby Amanfu breezes onto the UK's pop radar with her scrumptious debut single, 'Sugah'.
An infectious soul meets pop cocktail with a twist, this is a wonderful introduction to a genuine talent that we're sure you're gonna be seeing a lot more of this year.
Also includes non-album track 'All That Marley', a dancier remix and the stunningly original video.

Bangles - Something That You Said
They may have been away from the limelight for a few years, but on the evidence of 'Something That You Said' The Bangles' passion for making good honest music obviously hasn't diminished in the slightest.
Lifted from the forthcoming album 'Doll Revolution', and already a big hit at radio (especially Radio 2 in the UK), this is another simple, catchy pop song in that distinctive Bangles style - not to mention a wonderful taster for that album.
Also includes another new track alongsidean acoustic version of their own 'Eternal Flame'.

Moby - Sunday:Day Before My Birthday
The follow-up to 'In This World', 'Sunday (The Day Before My Birthday)' was always an album highlight, and now, thanks to some cracking remixes, looks like it could become a dancefloor fave to boot.
Featuring a classic vocal sample from Sugarhill Records' founder Sylvia Robinson's 'Sunday Was A Bright Day', the original was always a low-slung gem, whilst West London Deep, Boris D'Lugosch & Michi Lange and T&F vs Moltosugo add the funk flavour for the dancefloors.
All formats also include exclusive tracks, with CD one adding the video and CD two a Ferry Corsten mix of 'In My Heart'.

Delta - Born To Try
Probably best known in the UK for her role as Nina Tucker in perennial Aussie soap Neighbours, Delta Goodrem (and we know that they all say this) has actually been involved in music from an early age.
Finally getting a chance to show people what else she can do, 'Born To Try' is a pristine pop debut from a talented young starlet who's definitely not set to be confined to the TV soap treadmill. Fizzy, uplifting and immediately catchy, this is a superb single, and a perfect introduction to anotherof those incredibly talented Aussie actresses.
Just where do they keep coming from?

Alison Limerick - Where Love Lies
This track really needs no introduction; a classic vocal house anthem from 'back-in-the-day', it may have re-emerged every few years since it first appeared, but it's STILL one of those rarities that seems to sound as good as it did when it first surfaced.
Well, the David Morales and Frankie Knuckles produced 'Classic Club Mix' is present and correct alongside beefed-up, and actually very good re-rubs, from West London Deep, Northstarz, K-Boy and Kidstuff.
Essential is you already own the original (thanks to those remixes) and essential if you don't (for obvious reasons).
Brilliant!
