Could this be the greatest young band in Britain right now? Everything indicates that they might just be.
Whilst the Libertines descend into drug-fuelled mania there's a gap for a snotty, exciting bunch of elegantly wasted musicians to take the world by storm - Razorlight fit the bill nicely.
'Golden Touch' takes the template laid down on their first three singles and turns everything up to maximum strength.
This is three minutes and twenty seconds of unbridled excellence that just gets better and better with every single listen.
Singer Johnny Borrell croons magnificently over a Strokesian rhythm that shouts out: "single of the year" to anyone who'll listen, and listen they will because Razorlight might just be the first British rock act to take the mainstream since Oasis. Impossibly brilliant.
