U2 honour clemons in new jersey

U2 paid tribute to Bruce Springsteen's late E Street Band member Clarence Clemons during their show in The Boss' native New Jersey on Wednesday night (20Jul11).

The Irish rockers took to the stage for a massive gig at the New Meadowlands Stadium, and they didn't let the event pass without honouring the late saxophonist, who died last month (Jun11) at the age of 69.

During the encore, frontman Bono displayed a sign bearing Clemons' name and dedicated their track Moment of Surrender to the musician, according to the The Star-Ledger.

At the end, the singer also slipped in some words from Springsteen's track Jungleland, which features one of Clemons' famous sax solos.
