Proud Mary – Creedence Clearwater Revival
Proud Mary was first recorded by rock band Creedence Clearwater Revival, in 1971 a cover version was released by Ike and Tin Turner, this version differed greatly from the structure of the original, but is also well known and has become one of Tina’s most recognisable signature songs. Elvis also often performed the song in shows during the early 70s.The Glee version used Turner’s interpretation of the lyrics.
