With just days to go before the Milan bike show, the Italian manufacturers are hyping up their new models with teaser shots like this one of the new MV Agusta F4 1000 superbike.
This machine is expected to be one of the highlights of the EICMA show, and much is expected given its predecessor's groundbreaking design. For now we only get to see the organ pipe style exhaust and rear end, but it's worth noting that all the shapes on the visible bodywork are more angular and have sharper edges than before.
We understand that the new F4 will revert to a 998cc capacity engine, making it a direct rival for the Honda Fireblade, Suzuki GSX-R 1000, Yamaha R1 and Kawasaki ZX-10R and legal to be homologated for race use.
MV claims the motor will produce 186bhp at 12,900rpm and is fitted with an advanced traction control system to help riders tame it. A slipper clutch and twin injectors per cylinder are part of a suite of new technological advancement we expect to see on the new F4.
We'll no more when the bike is launched at a special Ducati event the night before the show starts in Milan.
