This is the achingly beautiful 1198R Corse, Ducati's new flagship superbike. It's a limited-edition model that replaces the existing 1098R Troy Bayliss replica and is expected to cost close to £30,000.
Changes are relatively minor compared with the outgoing model. There's a new paint job, swathes of carbon fibre, a Termignoni exhaust and a "plaque of autheticity."
It's a stunning machine of which only a handful will be sold. Ducati had already created arguably the ultimate superbike with its 180bhp limited edition 1098R, so why change a proven formula? Just look and drool.
