The Mondeo is big (perhaps too big?), safe (all models have a five-star Euro NCAP safety rating), well-equipped and great fun to drive with its keen handling. Five-door hatchback versions are more practical than the four-door saloons. But, if you can, go for roomy and best-looking estate versions.
