Derived from the Rover 45 which was launched in 1999, the ZS was rapidly created after the BMW sell-off in 2000. The 45 wasnt known for being a drivers car, but the cars double-wishbone front suspension and fully independent multi-link rear suspension meant it was probably the most suitable car to get the MG treatment.
Obviously challenged in the looks department, the ZS was probably the least attactive car in the modern MG range. Looks-aside, the ZS is arguably the best drivers car, with its V6 engine and supple chassis.
