Verdict: The 2.5-litre Volvo-sourced engine is full of character but it does make the Focus ST feel surprisingly grown-up for a hot hatch. The only question mark on what is a very complete package has to be the engines thirst. If you use the performance you will spend a lot of time at the pumps!
