Despite the new platform and total reskin, the styling is disappointing, given the lack of real change. There seems to be an underlying dogma among Japanese designers that the car of the future needs to look weird; needs to disport awkward, wedge proportions which cause it to stand out in traffic like a Dairlylea in a bowl of Babybels. As far as visual excitement goes, I’m afraid this is a flatliner – but if you’re making the financial commitment to this level of technology, you may feel such austerity suits you.
