Green car first drive: Toyota Prius
In all, the new Prius is much more of a step forward than its unremarkable skin suggests. As a Tiscali Green Car, it certainly goes straight in at number one. And with just 89grammes of CO2 per kilometre, the only thing it smells of is sandals and tofu. Toyota incidentally offers the option of a solar-powered sunroof this time round. It cools the cabin on hot days, but weighs around 26kgs and will cost you around £1,400. You'll be cool enough without it.
