First, the tangibles. Although much of plastics in the cabin are hard to the touch (in a bid to save weight), it’s gone significantly upmarket and there’s now more room in the back, while better planning for the battery storage means bootspace is credible, with a flat floor for easy loading. I’d say the standard kit is excellent for the price: it includes seven airbags, auto air-con, 15-inch alloys, smart entry for the driver’s door, fogs and a decent six-speaker sound system. For your inner kid though, the best feature here is a new head-up display which projects information onto the screen – combined with the sat nav info (an option with the range-topping T4 model).
