The Audi RS2 was only available in the UK as an Avant. The RS2 was partially assembled at Porsche's plant in Zuffenhausen. The RS2/Porsche links can be seen by the RS2's Porsche braking system, 17-inch alloy wheels identical to the Porsche 911 Turbo wheels, and wing mirrors borrowed from the Porsche 911 Turbo. Additionally, the word "PORSCHE" is inscribed in the RS2 badges, and on the engine's inlet manifold.
