The C1 has been round for a while, but a recent face-lift has kept it looking fresh. The three-cylinder, 1.0-litre engine sips petrol and with dealer discounts the little Citroen should prove to be be cheap to buy and run. The only things we don't like are the over-firm ride and lack of rear seat and bootspace.
