The RS was Fords first proper attempt to turn the first generation Focus into a serious hot hatch. The first car to wear the coveted RS badge since the Escort Cosworth, the Focus had a lot to live up to.
Fitted with a 212bhp turbocharged engine, the Focus RS had Brembo brakes, a special Quaife limited-slip differential, an AP racing clutch, 18-inch alloy wheels and a Sparco interior. Focus RS highlights included the strong, tunable engine, providing plenty of power, loads of grip with engaging handling and reassuring brakes.
