Extra colours have been added to the palette - or you can splash out on a ¯¿½2,400 Premium Pack with bi-xenon headlights, surround sound stereo and an in-car hostess. Only joking...
The XC90 has picked up a clutch of major awards over the last 12 months and, incredibly, it's become the 'must have' SUV. Yes, even those badge-conscious BMW X5 drivers must be a little put out at the success of the super Swede.
Part of the reason why the car has proved so successful is it has quality and safety built in to the brand. All those old Volvo estates you see chugging up and down the motorway prove this is a car that's built to last - no wonder the average life of a Volvo is 30 years!
The D5 engine is equally as popular as the T6 petrol and comes packed with enough torque even for a car this big. Don't expect more than 28mpg for everyday use though.
And what makes the XC90 so special? Well, it's just about the perfect all-rounder. If you want to carry seven people, there's a third row of seats hidden in the boot floor, permanent four-wheel drive comes as standard and there's are lots of neat storage spaces and cubbyholes inside.
