There’s no better publicity than word of mouth. Therefore, companies are willing to pay you as an incentive to refer their products and services to your friends. Earn £100s in cash, vouchers and gifts by getting your friends to sign up for things.

Refer me happy!

Earn money by referring friends for services and products. You need to register – for free – at Refermehappy.com before you can start referring friends for deals, or they can start referring you.

Most companies will only let you refer if you are already a customer. Search for those companies on the website and refer friends. You’ll receive an e-mail when a match is found. With many companies, you can refer as many friends as you like! Also, most of the companies on the website offer a cash reward for the friend as well.

If your company offers a ‘refer-a-friend’ deal but it is not listed on refermehappy.com, you can tell them about it. As a reward you’ll be the first to be notified about new friends for this deal.

If you join any company after being referred, refermehappy.com will give you priority for your own future referrals for that company.

There are currently 32 deals listed on the site, the most popular being SkyTV (£50 M&S vouchers for referrer and friend), Virgin Media (£30 credit for referrer and friend), First Direct (£100 credit for the friend, £50 for the referrer) and 3 Mobile (£30 for referrer and friend).

More ‘tell-a-friend’ deals

Online image library Picturenation [www.picturenation.co.uk] will pay you if you successfully refer buyers. Simply register to the site [https://www.picturenation.co.uk/register], and you will be provided with banners and links that you can paste onto any outgoing emails, your website or blog, or any forums or messageboards you use.

You will make a 5% commission on any purchases your referred friends make for a whole year – paid every two months after your total commission reaches £50.

Make money from the banks

Alliance & Leicester is offering ‘£50 to share’ for all Premier current account holders. If you recommend a friend to the account and the friend opens one, you and your friend will both get £25.

To be a referrer you have to fill in the online form or ask for a form in branch. You can recommend up to 5 friends each time, so if you got 5 friends to join up you’d be making a tidy profit of £125, just for filling in a form!
