Surfin' USA?
The USA is once again looking reasonable value as the pound has recovered strongly against the dollar. At $1.64 to each £1, a good number of people will be heading to the beaches of Florida and California no doubt.
Closer to home, Croatia and Bulgaria offer great value, and Turkey's popularity with Brits in recent years has strengthened by the move against the krona, coming on top of last year's increase to.
Andrew Hamilton, Head of Marketing for ICE said: “Jamaica offers the best of a lot of worlds for holidaymakers - sun, great beaches and fantastic value against the pound. But closer to home we’re seeing some real holiday hot spots emerge offering fantastic value for money – notably Croatia, Turkey and Bulgaria. This is substantiated by the orders we are receiving for currencies for these countries which have increased massively at the start of the summer season. Orders for the Turkish lira have risen 112% while Croatian Kuna orders are 101% up on average.”
