The review
Slowly but surely we are starting to see mobile phones that offer slightly more excitement that the next version of Snake. The Sony Ericsson P800 on paper looks like a phone that will pull the crowds of adoring fans. The keypad folds down to reveal a full 208 x 320 pixels colour touchscreen that can be used to view web pages and also as a view finder to help you take pictures with the built in colour camera.
VERDICT
The P800 is the first Sony Ericsson mobile to have a built in digital camera and full colour screen. A good looking phone with some very nice features that makes it a joy to synchronise with software like Outlook and Lotus notes. Multimedia Messages (MMS) in time will become as common as text but at the moment with limited users and a high subscription costs to the service, it maybe worth waiting till Christmas.

The future
The P800 is based on the new Symbian operating system (OS). A key benefit for developers is the source code is being made available to help encourage new applications for mobiles.
