Ingredients
1 x Jus-Rol Puff Pastry Ready Rolled Sheet (thawed)
3 small to medium English eating apples (choose ones with a red tinge to the skin such as Cox’s)
Beaten egg white to glaze
2 – 3 tbsp caster sugar for sprinkling
Method
Preheat oven to 220 degrees centigrade (200 degrees for fan assisted ovens)/425 degrees fahrenheit/ gas mark 7.
Unroll pastry sheet, and with a sharp knife, trim edges, then cut the sheet in half lengthways, and then each half into three equal pieces.
Lay on a lined baking tin. Halve and core the apples BUT leave skin on, then thinly slice the apple halves. Place one sliced apple half cut-face down in the centre of each pastry piece. Brush apple and pastry borders with beaten egg white and dredge lightly with caster sugar.
Bake for 12 – 14 mins until pastry is risen and golden. Serve warm or cold.
