Bread & butter pudding - Recipe

Ingredients

5 Slices of Warburtons brown Farmhouse bread
25g butter
50g chopped pecans
75g currants
Sprinkle of cinnamon
400ml semi-skimmed milk
2 eggs
3tbsp brown sugar

Method

Grease an oven-proof dish. Spread 5 slices of Warburtons Brown Farmhouse Bread with the butter and cut the bread into triangles. Arrange in the dish with the pecans and currants. Sprinkle on a little cinnamon.

Whisk the milk and eggs with the brown sugar and pour over the bread. Leave to stand for 30 minutes.

Place foil over dish and place into a pre-heated oven at 180degrees or Gas Mark 4 for 15 minutes. Remove the foil and continue to cook for a further 15 minutes or until the top is golden brown.
