2008 has not been a vintage year for love rats. In 2006 we had Eddie Murphy walking out on pregnant Mel B, in 2005 it was Jude Law sleeping with the nanny, and Darren Day kept us entertained for years.
This year's biggest love cheat was a rich boy who once appeared as "gas station attendant" in Natural Born Killers. The list also includes the inevitable Big Brother losers and a Brummy with a dodgy beard.
On a more starry note, the list includes an England footballer and a rather famous actress. Read on to find out what they've been up to...
1. Balthazar Getty
Getty, 33, was married with four young kids, including a 10-month-old baby, when Sienna caught his eye. Before you could blink, the pair were seen cavorting topless on an Italian yacht.
Onlookers (and Sienna) got a lovely view of Getty's wife's name, tattooed on his left manboob.

Getty has the letters "BZAR" tattooed on the fingers of his right hand. Classy.
Where is he now?
Getty and his wife have split, but neither he nor Sienna will offer an update on their own relationship.
2. Ashley Cole
But no sooner had the fit one out of Girls Aloud became a footballer's wife in 2006, Cole was rumoured to be playing away.
In January, hairdresser Aimee Walton reported enjoying some sexy time with Ash - and said she was not Mr C's first infidelity. Where does he find the time?
Ashley became public enemy number one, while Cheryl's reputation turned positively Diana-shaped. Not bad for a girl once convicted of thwacking a black loo attendant.
The wronged wife/X Factor judge/London Fashion Week model forgave her cheating husband, and recently flashed her wedding ring on Friday Night With Jonathan Ross. A gazillion viewers screamed: "what are you thinking?!"

3. Ronnie Wood
But then came along 18-year-old Russian waitress Ekaterina Ivanova, a mere 43 years younger than Wood.
The £70m guitarist met Ekaterina earlier this year in a Soho bar, and soon began partying with her at his holiday home in Ireland.
Jo got wind of the affair, and dumped Ronnie by voicemail while he and Ekaterina were on a 10-day Irish bender in July.

Ekaterina was born in Kazakhstan. Her delectable appearance may come as a surprise to fans of Borat.

4. Sienna Miller
The editor of Sienna-Miller.org closed his popular website, telling readers: "When Sienna can cavort so shamelessly with this man who is married and has four children (including a baby), my respect goes out of the window."
Columns and forums frothed with venom, the word "slut" was sprayed onto Sienna's London home and the release of her movie Hippie Hippie Shake has been put back until the storm subsides.
This does seem rather harsh, but Sienna should have known better. It's not so long since her then-fiance Jude Law cheated with his children's nanny, Daisy Wright.

Sienna sued The Sun for publishing secret naked snaps of her filming Hippie Hippie Shake. She won £40,000.

5. Jesse Metcalfe
Nadine, 23, reportedly spills the beans on her split from Metcalfe in a Girls Aloud book to be published in October.
To be fair to Metcalfe, 29, he admitted that he was a serial love-cheat before meeting Nadine in 2006. The love rat struggled to change his spots, it seems. His reward to Nadine for supporting him through booze rehab was to be spotted snogging a "mystery brunette".

Metcalfe likes sculpting and playing the piano. Sweet, but he's still a rat. And Jesse is a girl's name.

6. Adnan Ghalib
Britney Spears started dating the Birmingham-born paparazzo last December, but Adnan turned out to be clumsy with his iPhone. Britney dumped him after finding suggestive texts from another woman.Britney has reportedly taken back Adnan, 36 - but only because she's scared about what he'll do with a sex tape of her. Ain't love grand?
7. David Duchovny
The X Files star recently entered rehab for sex addiction, and has admitted to cheating on his wife for years.
Duchovny, who also stars in Californication as an oversexed writer, allegedly sought treatment after wife Tea Leoni threatened to divorce him.
The couple have been married for 11 years and have two kids.
8. Ramone Cunningham
When Cunningham got together with one-time WAG Danielle Lloyd this summer, he forgot to mention his girlfriend and two kids.
Cunningham, 21, met Dani in Portugal and the pair were soon "canoodling on the beach".
Photos promptly appeared in the papers, and long-term girlfriend Lucinda Campbell, 24, had some explaining to do to the kids.
9. Rex Newmark
We've relegated this year's Big Brother love rats to the bottom of the list, because it irks to give them any publicity. But it's fun to point and laugh.
BB loser Rex, 24, is so proud of his constant cheating on girlfriend Nicola that he calls his manhood "the General". What a guy!
10. Luke Marsden
Big Brother loser number two is student geek Luke, whose humiliated girlfriend treated him to the elbow for his 21st birthday in July.
"Devastated" Gina Bannister, 17, dumped Luke after watching him kissing and cuddling fellow contestant Bex in front of 3 million viewers.
