I'm only sorry I didn't have a bit of time off work 'cos I could have configured the router & all our notebooks before this evening. Everything was done when I was told it was going to be done. This is the 4th & best migration I've been through over the past 10 years. Haven't had time to check speed yet but as I've moved from a 1Mbit service it seems very quick. So far & with the support on this forum from TT & non-TT people, this is beginning to look like one of the best moves I've made in a long time. Look forward to discussions etc with this group." I called yesterday to enquire about the deal etc as it had been recommended by Martin, the person I spoke to on the phone, Kareem, was fantastic, he told me everything I needed to do to get the phone line activated in Tewkesbury, how the service worked etc... When BT wanted me to sign a 12 month contract I called TalkTalk again and they suggested I called the Post Office and I wouldnt have to signup for 12 months... nThe knowledge and the willingness to help and sort things out have been really good. I was also mighty impressed with the fact that you were on MSE and available to answer the questions I had so quickly! I am definately going to go for the TalkTalk deal even if it is an 18 months contract, which I usually am cautious about. The service so far has been good and the deal seems very good too... broadband, being able to call my brother in Belgium and my sister in law in Portugal for free... I will even be able to call my mum in Rio for less than 4p a minute!" Barneyabz |

Just to say that we have recently gone live with TalkTalk broadband, having been with PlusNet for three years. Yes we did have a problem with the phone (couldn't get international line). We contacted their customer support and they couldn't have been more courteous & helpful. We lost our line completely for twelve hours, yes inconvenient but they diverted all calls to our mobile and all our problems were solved within 24 hours. We had no problems getting through to speak to someone and that 0870 number that everyone complains about, which is free from a TalkTalk line. We even had a coutesy call to check that we were happy and had no further problems. We are more than happy with the level of service provided. I guess the majority of people who take the time to review do so because they are unhappy - it is hard to get a balanced opinion. We were originally with Onetel for our phone (10 years with them) and of course they were taken over by TalkTalk several years ago. We have never had any complaints about the service and just can't understand why people have such bad experiences - clearly they do and it must be dreadful. For us - we would happily recommend TalkTalk, most of our friends are with them, and they are more than satisfied too. Lois Hutton |
