Step Seven - Grouting
Grouting is the process of filling in the spaces around the tiles. The grouting process cannot start until the adhesive has completely dried and all the surfaces are clean %u2013 between 12 to 24 hours.
We left our tiles overnight to guarantee they were firmly adhered. Apply your grout with a rubber float, working it in to be sure there are no bubbles. Remove any excess with a clean damp cloth as you go.
If you are applying tiles in an area where water damage may be a factor (like a kitchen) use a waterproof grout, or cover the edges in a silicone sealer.
Handy tip
The shades and quality of tiles can vary enormously from batch to batch. When you have bought your tiles check them through and mix up the different packets to spread any variations across the area.
