Ideas for replacing my gas fire

Question:

I want to replace my gas fire and surround for something more modern, and pleasing to the eye, any ideas for a replacement?

Advice from Liz:

I like the simplicity of the recessed gas fires that have no surround; they are simply a rectangular hole in the wall with pebbles. Try DirectFireplaces.com for the latest styles for both gas and electric. The one featured below is the Sapphire MK2 Black Hole in the Wall Gas Fire from Crystal Fires and retails at £425.
