Idea for soft furnishing

Question:

I have recently been given a project to do in my textiles course at school. I have chosen to do a soft furnishing as part of interior design. Have you got any good ideas that I could make and would be a unique and clever idea

Advice from Liz:

Window treatments are always a good place to start as there are so many ways to dress windows which can add instant impact to any room. The trouble is that it is quite hard to describe each style. I would suggest buying or borrowing from the library Window Style by Mary Fox Linton as there are some good suggestions and illustrations.
