The dirtiest character in games history is back, and he hasn't grown up!

The old theory went that gamers were all sexually frustrated men who played computer games because they couldn't get girlfriends. Of course we know - and most of the world agrees - that it's complete nonsense, but back in the day Leisure Suit Larry was the man about town so gamers could go and 'interact' with some pixilated chicks to make up for the lack of real ones in their real lives.

But Larry - who really ought to too old for this stuff by now - is back, and we have to admit that this latest outing is kinda fun, if you go in with low expectations. Set on a fictional college campus, Magna Cum Laude is Carry On Roleplaying or Batchelor Party: The Game. The goal is to win a spot on a TV dating show called 'Swingles,' where three girls compete for the chance to do some horizontal dancing with lucky Larry. The game has you chatting up girls, going on the usual fetch quests, and pledging a frat; all with the main idea of pulling as many 'hotties' as you can. Juvenile? Oh yes.

Now this will either sound like the best fun you can have with your clothes on or an absolute nightmare. The campus and the surrounding town are rendered in full cartoony 3D with plenty of people dotted around. Talking to certain people, usually gorgeous young women, and grabbing at certain objects can cause mini-games to occur. They're all simple and light-hearted like dancing, slaps, and water pistol-based wet t-shirt contests.

As a roleplaying game it's miles behind the best, and the mini games are only diverting at best, but as a bit of stupid fun it's worth a look. Beware though - the graphics might not be great but it is quite rude - Australia has just banned it from sale, and they're not a prudish national normally.
