Sims and Sudoku from the veteran publisher plus NFS: Shift takes pole position and Samurai Warriors 3 Wii screens
DSi owners get ready to download. Electronic Arts has unveiled a raft of downloadable content for Nintendo's updated handheld including a new Sims application and a version of popular puzzle game Sudoku.
MySims Camera is a camera application that utilises popular MySims characters. You can take photos and overlay 3D MySims characters to bring them into the real world. The 3D characters can be animated, moved, scaled, rotated and cropped. You can also draw on the photos with the stylus pen or use the stamp tool to add more art and style. Create a unique frame and save the photos to the DSi photo album to share with friends.
Sudoku offers hundreds of number-crunching puzzles that will stretch your brain to the limit. The game features a host of grid designs, stat tracking and an in-game timer to test your reaction time and comes complete with five different difficult settings and an extremely polished look. Both titles are available to download from the online DSi Shop.
Meanwhile it is once again all change in chartland as EA's brand new racer Need For Speed: Shift swings around the hairpin bend to take pole position in the Top 40 all format videogames chart. Guitar Hero 5, last week's number one, now slips to second place with Colin McRae: Dirt 2 sitting in third position. The excellent Batman: Arkham Asylum slips to fourth and Wii Sports resort is fifth.
To round-off we've got some brand new screens from Samurai Warriors 3, forthcoming from veteran Japanese publisher Koei. The third instalment in this long running tactical action game is a Wii exclusive and not due for release in the UK until early 2010.
