My neighbour is interested in replacing a storm damaged 12.5m long joint boundary fence (typical close panel garden fence with wooden posts set in concrete) with a 7' brick wall (two brick widths thick). Ignoring the cost of the bricks for the moment, roughly how much should she expect to be quoted for someone to dig and lay the footings and then build the wall. It's a very vague question but I'm wondering how such a quote would stack up against £500 she has been quoted for a like for like replacement fence. If the neighbour opts for a wall, we share the cost; if she decides on a fence, she pays for everything (don't ask
).

We already have a fencing quote and your site does not seem to cater for walls
