Hi,
I have two broadband connections coming into my house, one from BT and the other from TalkTalk. They are both connected to the Edenbridge exchange and, having confirmed with the OpenReach engineer, they both come down the exact same cables all the way from the exchange to my house. Inside the house I have the two master sockets side by side and I am using identical NetGear DG834 V4 routers with each line. The problem I have is that I get a consistent and stable 1.6mb download from the BT connection whereas my TalkTalk line can vary from about 1.8mb to almost zero. I have been running hourly speed tests on both broadband connections for the last few weeks and I have attached zipped Word document that shows the results. Please can you look into this to see what can be done to stabilize the download speed? Regarding your standard Q&A list, the phone line is OK, it is not noisy, microfilters have been changed etc. Many thanks in advance Andy |

Hi asloman
Sorry for the delay in getting back to you, I have checked your line stats, and I am not going to be able to improve your line speeds by adjusting the profile, as you are already on the optimum one for your line. If you wish to progress this further please contact Technical Support on 0871 222 3311.
