Tagged by Q magazine as the garage rock Bangles, youthful female LA trio The Like splice fuzzy, Nirvana style riffs to simple, home-spun melodies resulting in instant, radio-friendly rock. Comprised of 19-year-old singer Z Berg, 19-year-old bassist Charlotte Froom and 21-year-old drummer Tennessee Thomas, the trio are all the offspring of music biz royalty. Charlotte's dad is record producer Mitchell (Sheryl Crow, Macca) Froom. Tennessee's dad, Pete Thomas, played drums with Elvis Costello while Z Berg's A&R man dad signed Beck. Froom and Thomas met at school and bonded over a love of Oasis and The Strokes. The trio released three independent EP's before bagging a major label deal to Geffen and the release of debut album, Are You Thinking What I'm Thinking. Easy life then? No. "We've worked hard," says Berg. "Nothing's been handed to us on a plate."
