THE CRIBS
Super-stardom is just around the corner for Wakefield sibling trio The Cribs. The Kaiser Chiefs, Preston from The Ordinary Boys and Carl Barat are all fans and since last year's appearance at Reading, the band have now been elevated to the main stage. Sibling trio Ryan Jarman (vocals, guitar), bassist Gary and drummer Ross began their musical life by playing their brand of euphoric, scuzzy, fuzzy guitar pop to working men's rooms in Leeds. An eponymously titled debut album followed in 2004 and second album, The New Fellas, filled to the brim as it was with anthemic, singalong, fizzy bursts of pop, only served to consolidate talk of imminent greatness. Their songs will soundtrack not just Reading, but probably every other festival this summer...
