STORY OF THE YEAR

Formed in the late 90s, Story Of The Year began as Big Blue Monkey in Missouri. After the release of a few EPs and various lineup changes, the band relocated to California at the behest of producer John Feldmann who signed them to Maverick Records. With a new name and a new lineup (vocalist Dan Marsala, guitarists Ryan Phillips and Phillip Sneed, bassist Adam Russell, and drummer Joshua Willis) the band entered the studio in 2003 to record debut album, Page Avenue. By now their sound had morphed into emo-tinged grunge and by the time of last year's follow up, In The Wake Of Determination, a highly polished sheen to their anthemic stadium choruses was in evidence.
