HUMANZI
Political-activist Dublin rockers Humanzi meld cacophonous choruses with Richter
scale 7 catastrophe. They are, in their own words, "four mad, angry bastards."
In fact front man Shaun Mulrooney made his feelings clear when Humanzi hijacked
the the Dublin leg of the worldwide anti-war demonstration earlier this year.
The band played a three-song protest with Shaun ranting at Irish PM Bertie
Aherne. The band signed to Fiction Records in late 2005 and subsequently set up
their own label, SFR, as a means to showcase edgy, young Irish bands. Their
debut album, Tremors was released last month - a foaming-at-the-mouth rant at
everything from corrupt government to a popular culture obsessed with celebrity
and diets.
