CLAP YOUR HANDS SAY YEAH

It may just be coincidence that prototype rock nerd David Byrne of Talking Heads is a fan, but probably not. Geek 'n' proud of it Brooklyn indie types Clap Your Hands have been tipped as the inheritors of Arcade Fire's indie sheen for the past year. The band were formed in New York in 2003 and consist of singer Alec Ounsworth, guitarist/keyboardists Lee Sargent and Robbie Guertin, drummer Sean Greenhaigh and bassist Tyler Sargent. Their eponymous debut album was recorded for just £5,000 and their spindly art rock and Ounsworth's nervous vocals instantly drew praise from the aforementioned Talking Head. Geekpower!
