BOUNCING SOULS

The Bouncing Souls have been a band longer than some of their fans have been alive. The New Jersey quartet - Vocalist Greg Attonito, drummer Michael McDermott, guitarist Pete Steinkopf and bassist Bryan Kienlen - met at school and have been plying their brand of anthemic, angular guitar-punk for 15 years now. As well as persistence and charm, the DIY musical enthusiasts, named after a strapline on Doc Martens shoes, have survived through a brilliant live reputation and records released on their own label (Chunksaah). The band's seventh studio album, The Gold Record, was released in June 2006 and was crammed with their trademark, short, sharp-shock, angst-ridden punk anthems. Luckily, their career lasted longer than their track lengths!
