Jayne and Richard prepare for eviction

Poor Jayne and Richard.

The nominated housemates have collected their suitcases and were told they had two hours to make sure they were all packed in case they are booted out tonight.

"But what about the potatoes?" asked Slough-born Jayne, referring to the housemates' dinner which was just about to be dished out.

"Oh, we've got enough time," said cool Canadian Richard. "I can pack in an hour. We've got loads of time, Jayne."

The pair then tucked into their meal as they sat on the kitchen steps, not knowing whether it would be their last.

Five minutes later, Richard got up and announced: "I'm going to sort out my stuff, see what I need to pack."

"Are you?" said Jayne, munching more quickly.

Earlier, Jayne had expressed interest in how the 'uninteresting' housemates were able to stay in the house.

Talking to Susie in the kitchen, the 36-year-old recruitment consultant said: "If they're bland, how do they survive?"

"They get under the radar," said Susie, who isn't known for her fiery chat herself.

Jayne mused: "So the ones who do get through, it's not due to popularity because they haven't been up for a public vote..."
