Tiscali - Wimbledon tickets

Buying Tickets on the Day of Play

Most importantly tickets are sold one per person with no exceptions. Payment MUST be made with cash only. No credit or debit cards will be accepted.

Queuing Information
There are two queues for the turnstiles at Gate 3 - one from the north and one from the south. Each queue has an equal allocation of tickets for Centre Court, No. 1 Court, No. 2 Court and Ground Admission.

Joining the Queue
Substantial queues form for the daily allocation of tickets. For a ground pass it is usually necessary to join the queue several hours before the grounds open. For a show court ticket, many people queue overnight to increase their chances of purchasing a ticket for Centre, No.1 or No.2 Court.

Due to pressure from the police and neighbours the queue is requested to minimise disruption by not causing health & safety risks by, for example, blocking the pavements (so that passers-by have to walk in the road) or by burning barbecues.

Wristbands, marked by court will be given to queuers according to the number of show court tickets available. On reaching the entrance kiosk, the detachable part of the wristband is handed to the cashier who will issue one ticket for the court.

Opening times
The Gates open at 10.30am. Play starts at 12.00 midday, unless otherwise advertised, on Courts 2-19 for the first week. Play on Centre and Court Number 1 starts at 1.00 pm apart from the final weekend. If the grounds are full to capacity the gates will be closed.

Ticket Availability
Around 500 tickets each for Centre and No.1 Court reserved seats are available daily. However, Centre Court tickets for the last four days of the Tournament are presold.

Approximately 500 No.2 Court seats go on sale for the days where a full number of matches are being played. By the end of the second week there may well not be a full schedule on this court.

Middle Saturday
Due to safety concerns, this year's arrangements for the middle Saturday will be no different from those on the first nine days of the event. The number of Centre Court tickets on sale on the day will be around 500 (as opposed to 2000 in 2002) in line with No.1 and No.2 Courts. Tickets for Middle Saturday

Ground Passes
Approximately 6000 ground tickets are available each day. The actual number sold each day will depend on factors such as the number of people already in the grounds, the number of courts in play and the weather. Ground tickets entitle use of the No.2 Court standing enclosure and unreserved seating and standing round Courts 3-19.

Tickets are sold one per person with no exceptions. In addition to this no spaces are allowed to be saved in a queue. If you need to leave the queue for any reason please notify either a steward or the people next to you in the queue to avoid any problems when you return.

Security Announcement - Left Luggage
  • There are no left luggage facilities inside the grounds. Left luggage facilities are provided at a number of locations OUTSIDE the grounds.
  • Camping equipment, oversize bags, picnic hampers or bags not required whilst visiting The Championships must be left in one of the facilities outside the grounds.

Ticket Touts
