Konnie Huq has admitted the timing of her new job as new Xtra Factor host is "annoying".
The presenter said she was planning to start a family with new husband, TV critic Charlie Brooker, but has now put her plan for a baby on hold.
She told the new issue of Company magazine: "I was a bit annoyed really because I was getting ready to settle down and have babies."
She added: "Charlie and I both had a gap in work last summer so we'd booked flights to Vegas to get married.
"Then, before we could jet off, I got the call about the Xtra Factor job. Actually, I'd already been approached about the job when I first left Blue Peter but it went to Fearne (Cotton).
"When I heard the producers were considering me again, I thought, whatever, they know where I am. Then they called and I was like, 'Oh, what? Oh. Really, I have to cancel my wedding?'"

The couple went to Las Vegas and had a low-key ceremony during a gap in filming of The Xtra Factor.
She said of her relationship with the Newswipe host: "People assume we're completely different. They think he is a shouty man and I'm super-sweet. Actually, I'm an a**ehole and he's really nice! Oh look at his face, I love him so much."
Konnie, who took over the ITV2 show from Holly Willoughby, recently admitted her Bangladeshi father would have preferred she married a Muslim man.
